How to remove content from Continue watching Netflix

How to remove content from “Continue watching Netflix “. If you’ve started watching something on Netflix that you want to remove, we can help you solve the problem!

Netflix is full of great content, but it also has a large portion of the trash. It can be annoying when movies or programs hang in the line Keep watching for ages. If you want to remove something from your Keep Watching line on Netflix, we’ll show you how to do exactly that on both desktop and mobile devices.

What’s next to watch the line?

Keep Watching is a line on Netflix that shows everything you have started watching but have not yet finished. This includes movies that you have partially seen or the next episode of a TV show. It’s designed to make it quick and easy to jump back into your entertainment right where you left off.

The line only shows content that has been displayed in your profile. This means that you do not see the family’s half-watched movies in the line Continue watching.

Confusing does not remain the line Continue looking at the same place. But it is generally one of the first seven lines you should see. However, the order of the row is consistent: what you last saw is displayed first with everything that follows in chronological order.

Things will remain in your Keep Watch line for a long time, which can be handy if you take a moment to get through long shows. But if you started watching something and abandoned it halfway, it’s annoying to see it linger in the queue for ages.

That’s why we’ll show you how to remove content from the Keep Watching Netflix line. It’s an easy way to handle what you’re watching on Netflix.

You must either use a desktop / laptop or smartphone / tablet for this, as it does not work on devices such as smart TVs or game consoles.

Why do movies and series continue to stay on “Keep Watching”?

After watching something on Netflix, it should remove itself from the Keep Watching line automatically.

But if you backtrack too fast, Netflix may think there’s still a bit left to watch. If this happens often, make sure you watch until the time when Netflix minimizes the content and starts suggesting something else or counting down to the next episode.

This trigger marks the end of the movie or episode for Netflix and will also remove it from your Continue Watch line.

You also see things appear on the line after you have looked at them briefly just to check what they are. To stop this from happening, it is better to watch a trailer.

How to remove content from “Continue watching” on a desktop computer

To remove content from the Keep Watching line when on a computer with a web browser (and not, for example, the Windows 10 app):

  1. Hold the mouse pointer over your profile picture at the top right.
  2. Click on “Account”.
  3. Choose your profile name next to Profile and Parental Control.
  4. Click View next to View Activity.
  5. Find what you want to delete in the list and click on the no entry icon (the circle with a line through it).
  6. If you have deleted a TV episode, you can click on “Hide series” if you want to delete the entire series.

When done, the content will no longer appear in the Continue Viewing line.

Netflix uses content you’ve watched to give you recommendations on what to watch more. However, once you have followed these steps, the content will no longer be included in that algorithm.

However, this means that the movie or TV series you just removed may be recommended to you in the future.

Create a new profile to clear the row

If you do not want to use the above methods for any reason (maybe you have too much stuff on the Keep Watching line and can not bother to clear it), you can start from scratch by creating a new Netflix profile. Keep in mind that you can only create up to five Netflix profiles.

Also note that this will not transfer your viewer history or recommendations. However, you can always go back to your original profile if you change your mind.

To add a new profile to your desktop, click your profile picture at the top right, click Manage Profiles, and then click Add Profile.

To do the same on your mobile phone, tap More> Add profile.
