What is a 4 MAX Antenna?
A ClearStream 4MAX antenna is a multidirectional UHF/VHF TV antenna. This antenna uses the latest patented technology and offering both UHF and Hi-VHF frequencies in a compact form. This Antenna is able to pick miles from broadcast towers that are even 70+ miles away from it.
Due to its unique looped design, and thanks to the integrated diplexer, this antenna can receive a strong signal. The result is the crystal clear TV picture & great sound quality.
Why do we like it

It was providing us with an excellent signal, and an even better crystal clear TV picture and that is mainly why we liked it. Besides that, this antenna has a very special place n our hearts, What we like about this antenna?

- The range
Design and Feature
Because of the break-through advanced antenna patented technology, this antenna is able to reach out for signals that are even 70+ miles away from it. In other words, this is a long-range antenna with a range of 70 miles plus.
You quick-connect and place this antenna on the inside of your home or on the outside in your backyard, attic, or on the balcony. This antenna is designed for attics and outdoor installations. It is perfect for suburban and urban areas too.
This 4MAX antenna does not come with a built-in amplifier. But, if you live in an area that does not have that kind of a good reception, you always have the ability to buy an extra one if needed.
Even if put in less ideal locations, that will not stop this antenna to work on both HI-VHF and UHF frequency. The reception was good on both of these signals, and we have to mention the gain and the beam angle of this antenna.
Namely, the gain of this antenna is around UHF 11 dBi / VHF 2.5 dBi, while the beam angle was 470 to 698MHz: 45 Degrees. And basically, this antenna is engineered to respond to a greater range of frequency due to a wide beam angle.
This multi-directional antenna is made out of lightweight premium materials for maximum performance.
It weighs around 3.0 lbs and is 31.5 inches wide. This is one of the biggest antennas that we have ever tested.
When you buy this antenna, you receive all-weather mounting hardware and a user manual alongside it in the box. Have in mind that the coaxial cable is being sold separately and that you will have to buy that one on your own. The antenna does come with an attic pivoting mast, adjustable clamp, and sealing pads.

This antenna was able to find channels that have a solid, clear TV picture. We were surprised when we saw that the antenna did not find any kind of channels with a broken signal. We are pleased to say that we got to watch and enjoy HD channels such as NBC, ABC, CBS, and more, for free!
Besides that, we got to watch a bunch of our local TV channels as well. They too have had a great, solid picture, and there were no interruptions.
As we have mentioned, this ClearStream 4MAX HDTV antenna is for outdoor use.
When you first turn on your TV, you will instantly feel a huge amount of happy vibes coming from the speakers of your TV. The sound is going to be so clear as if the actors were just in your room acting out a scene right in front of you.
The crystal clear TV picture is also really realistic and without any kind of blurriness. The resolution was 1080p, but, since we own a 4K TV, the antenna was able to provide us with that 4K quality.
We have tested this antenna in San Francisco, USA and we are not that close to the broadcasting tower (about 120 miles away). Since this is a multidirectional antenna, there was no need whatsoever to turn this antenna around to get the best signal. In other words, this antenna gave us a perfectly crystal clear TV picture from the start, we did not rotate it or anything.
This proves the quality of this antenna, and what’s better than owning an antenna that can catch signals in all of the directions?

How we picked and tested this antenna
We have done the testing of this antenna in San Francisco, USA. We live in a small house that has a backyard, so we thought that it was a good idea to put this antenna in our backyard, and not on the inside of the house.
We unboxed it, got our tools ready, so we got down for business. The installation process was a piece of cake, and it did not take us more than 15 minutes to set it up.
This antenna was able to provide us with around 50 both local and international TV channels. This is a pretty impressive number considering that we are not that much close to the signal broadcasting tower.
When the installation process was done, we went inside the house to see which channels we will be watching in the future. And, we were pretty surprised by the huge channel list that this antenna has provided us with!
That list contained all of the international HD channels such as ABC, NBC, and FOX. We could not believe that we have the ability to enjoy streaming those channels for free. The cable bill was forgotten instantly.
Is there a better alternative?
