Our take on Clearstream 2MAX

And now, we would like to display and share the experience that we have had with this antenna in the following section of the article. You will be reading about the process of testing this antenna, and is there some kind of an alternative antenna that has the same performance for less money.

Why do you need this antenna?

The answer to this question is only logical: you need this antenna so that you can enjoy a good quality crystal TV picture whenever you want to watch your favorite show or a movie. Besides that, you need this antenna so that you can watch all of the HD channels for free!

Why should you buy a 2MAX antenna?

You should buy this antenna if you live in a place that is kind of far from the broadcasting towers. The antenna will be able to provide you with strong signals since it has special technology built into it.

Besides that, this antenna is able to catch signals and keep them strong even if you live in an area where you are surrounded by metal constructions and many different kinds of materials. There will be no signal dropouts whatsoever, and the signal will still manage to come through to you.

How we picked and tested this 2MAX antenna

The first thing that we did when we got this antenna was to unbox it, find the perfect place for the ClearStream 2MAX antenna, and install it. You should know that we have tested this antenna in a house with a backyard in Chicago, USA. The broadcasting tower is maybe 35-40 miles away from us.

We decided to set up this antenna in our backyard first, and then move it to the inside of our house a couple of days later.

When we first opened the box with this Antennas’s Direct ClearStream 2Max antenna, we were glad that we got to find the mast, mast clamp, and all of the screws in it. We did assume that the coaxial cable will not be in the box so we bought one separately.

When we set up this antenna in our backyard, it has shown us a great reception. The picture on our TV was crystal clear, and we got to enjoy it constantly- there were no signal dropouts.

When we moved the antenna into the house, we placed it right next to our TV. The reception was good but not as good as it was on the outside. But, all of the antennas work that way, the reception will always be better if an antenna is put in a high place on the outside.

All that we can say is that we are generally very happy with the performance that this antenna has shown us, we are super glad that we got the chance to test the Antennas Direct ClearStream 2Max HDTV Antenna.

Which one is better: ClearStream 2MAX VS 4MAX Antenna?

There are not many differences between these two antennas. The main difference is the range of them and their designs.

The 4MAX antenna has a range of up to 70 miles, and the 2MAX one has a range of up to 60 miles. The 2MAX one is made out of two sets of 8’s (we have explained previously), and the 2MAX one has only one eight.

When it comes to performance, the 4MAX one is better for areas that are really far from the broadcasting towers. It will strengthen the signal, and keep it strong whenever you turn your TV on.

ClearStream 2MAX VS 2V antenna

For starters, both of these antennas are being made by the Antennas Direct brand. The ClearStream 2V antenna uses patented technology to receive signals that are 60 miles away from it.

The 2MAX one uses that same technology but besides that, it has a unique integrated diplexer that helps with the UHF and VHF signal reception. In other words, the 2MAX antenna is able to receive signals even through heavy metal constructions or materials.

If you ask us, the ClearStream 2MAX one is a better antenna.

Is there a better alternative?

We could recommend you an indoor antenna that is able to provide you a good quality service, for a less amount of money. It is not quite as good as the 2MAX one, but it will do its job well.

Check out this Mohu Leaf Indoor antenna that has a range of up to 60 miles. This is a super-thin antenna that can be set up easily on your window, wall, or on the top of your desk, and you can even hide it behind some painting!

This is an antenna that has been made in the USA, and it can give you the same amount of good quality signal reception as the 2MAX one.

Conclusion ClearStream 2Max Antenna Review

Some people may not like the design of this antenna, but we do, it is a matter of taste. It is capable to provide you with a good quality reception, which is the thing that matters the most.

If you decide to get this ClearStream 2MAX antenna for yourself, we hope that you will enjoy and be satisfied with its performance as much as we were.

Hope that the information that we have displayed to you in this ClearStream 2MAX review was helpful and that you will find the perfect antenna for yourself.

You should always point your antennas in the broadcasting tower’s direction. That way, you will be receiving a stronger signal with much better quality.

2. What will happen if I wrap my ClearStream 2MAX antenna with aluminum foil?

Well, technically speaking, the aluminum foil is able to increase the signal reception of your antenna. You can try to wrap your 2MAX antenna in aluminum tin foil if you want to, nothing bad can happen. Although, have in mind that this technique might not work all the time.

3. My ClearStream 2MAX antenna loses some channels at night, what should I do?

This is a known issue among all of the antennas. When the temperature drops at night, the signal might become weaker, and that is called –falling off the digital cliff. This issue can occur even when the weather changes. There is nothing much that you can do about it.
